    Dang! That is brilliant. One of my first writing teachers in NYC, Wang Ping gave the opening exercise as:
    Write a list.
    A list? Of what?
    Whatever you want.
    Just a list?
    Yes.
    I went to the drug store and wrote a list of all the feminine products and their selling points.
    Extra Long
    Mini
    Wings
    etc. It was a great piece.
    I see now reading yours how powerful a list can be.
